Peer to Peer Conference Annual Fall Counselor Conference KSDE and ESU are pleased to announce that Rosalind Wiseman, author of Queen Bees and Wannabes, will be our featured speaker Nov. 6th for the Annual Fall Conference at Emporia State University . Rosalind is an outstanding expert in the area of relational aggression (Mean Girls). This is an important conference for Kansas educators who need the latest information about Kansas State Assessments and education assessment innovations. This year’s conference will have an update on state assessment information including: Reading , Mathematics, Writing, History/Government and Science KAMM and Alternate Assessments KELPA NAEP Assessing Young Children Accountability 8th Grade Technology Assessment Formative Assessments Other presentations will focus on MTSS, 21st Century Learning Skills, Kansas Career Clusters and research studies form Kansas educators that impact student learning. Neal Kingston and Sean Smith are two featured speakers. Dr. Neal Kingston is the CETE Co-Director and Associate Professor, Program in Research, Evaluation, Measurement and Statistics at the University of Kansas . He will speak about his new role at CETE and current topics in assessment. Dr. Sean J. Smith, Associate Professor of Special Education at the University of Kansas , will speak about technology for special education students that can be used for all students.
